A Thought on Mosque Loudspeakers

I am a religious person. I respect all places of worship and believe that practicing our faith is very important. I also believe in the importance of living together in peace and respecting each other’s space.

I have a small concern about the loudspeakers used by mosques. I have no problem with the call to prayer Adhan. It is a beautiful sound that tells us it’s time to pray. This is natural and expected.

However, the loud use of speakers during long religious lessons or prayers can be very disturbing especially for people who live close to the mosque. It becomes hard to rest, work, or even think clearly.

I think mosques and all religious places should follow the rules of shared living.
